Striving for Global Peace

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) was established on October 24, 1945, with the fundamental objective of maintaining world peace. This objective includes preventing wars, proxy wars, and terrorism. Despite these noble intentions, the intergovernmental UNSC-UN has faced significant challenges in fulfilling its fundamental mission.

Throughout history, the world has witnessed numerous wars, proxy conflicts, and acts of terrorism that have threatened international stability and peace.

  • World Trade Center Bombing, New York, USA (1993): A terrorist attack that marked the beginning of a new era of global terrorism.
  • September 11, 2001 Twin Tower Terrorist Attack, New York, USA: An unprecedented act of terrorism that shocked the world and highlighted the need for global security cooperation.
  • Attack on Indian Parliament (2001): A terrorist assault on India’s democratic institutions, underscoring the persistent threat of terrorism.
  • Terrorist Attack at Taj Palace, Mumbai, India (2008): A coordinated attack that emphasized the global reach of terrorist networks.
  • Terrorist Attack in Paris, France (2015): A series of coordinated attacks that reaffirmed the ongoing threat of terrorism to world peace.

These events serve as stark reminders of the challenges we face in our quest for global peace. Our organization is dedicated to addressing these challenges and working towards a more peaceful world for all.
